On 24th
November 1821 the Sydney Gazette announced the arrival of the
ship
Hindostan with 152 male prisoners all in good
health. The Master was Captain Williamson and Dr. Evans, on his 3rd visit
to Australia was Surgeon Superintendent.
The Guard consisted of a detachment of the 30th
regiment, under command of Ensign King of the 48th regiment. The Hindostan
departed Portsmouth 29th July.
