Details: On the 28th ult George Rawsthorn of Kirkland Kendal, was fully committed to Appleby gaol charged with having stolen on the 13th ult. four pieces of Kendal cottons from the tenters of Messrs Wilkinson and Hindle on Kendal Fell. He was apprehended at Ulverston, with two of the stolen pieces in his possession; the other two pieces were found early on the morning of the 29th ult. lying against the wall of Mr. W. Wilkinsons dying house at the side of the river Kent
