Correspondence re a charge of dishonest conduct against James Dewell, ticket of leave holder of Newcastle and the considerable quantity of property found on his premises for which he could not account. His wife Johannah Dunn was described as a convict serving her original sentence and a person of dishonest and dissolute habits who had previously been sent to the Female Factory at Newcastle. The Magistrate requested that Johannah Dunn be sent to the Female Factory at Parramatta
