Constable John Duncan, states - the beginning of this month William Green arrived at Newcastle from Sydney. I was directed to take him to the prisoners barracks. I did so, he absconded during the evening. I with other constables was dispatched in pursuit of him but without success. William Green sentenced to 6 months in the gaol gang
