Details: Recollections of Mrs. Yeomans, eldest daughter of Benjamin Singleton regarding the men who accompanied the first crossing to Singleton - name Jerrys Plains given after a man named Jerry Butler who was a servant of Mr. T. Fitz of Windsor exploded a flask of powder in his hand while attempting to light a fire. Jerry Butler came with Mr. Cox of Richmond (the father of Mr. Cox of Muswellbrook) some years after the first party came over; had he been with the first party it would have been remembered
