The 'Portland' from Greenock with Dr. Lang and emigrants arrived 3rd December having departed 24th July. 310 emigrants of whom 25 were passengers in the poop cabin, 46 in the second cabin and 239 in the steerage. 9 clergymen arrived with Dr. Lang, Revs. McFie, Gregor, Forbes, Anderson from Scotland and Revs. Dugall, Fullerton, Gilchrist, Blain and Aitcheson from Ireland.
