Sarah Duggan was placed at the Bar, charged with two act of theft, namely with stealing a silver watch from the house of Euphemia Young or Preston, situated in Richmond Place on the 9th July; and also with stealing a silver watch from the back room or shop of William Hay, meal dealer in Richmond Place on 11th July; she was also charged with being formerly convicted of theft. The prisoner pleaded not guilty but acknowledged being along with those who sold the watdh. She was sentenced to transportation for life
