Return of Corporal Punishment inflicted by Sentence of the Bench in the presence of E.A. Slade, Superintendent Hyde Park Barracks. 50 lashes for being drunk, insolent and resisting a constable. This man was flogged about 2 years ago; he flinched much throughout the punishment; the skin was lacerated, and the blood appeared at the 24th lash; he seemed tosuffer great pain, which was evinced by his suppressed groans; blood ran at the 45th lash; he cried out 'domino' when finished
