Return of Corporal Punishment inflicted by Sentence of the Bench in the presence of E.A. Slade, Superintendent Hyde Park Barracks. 25 lashes on the breech for neglect of duty by feigning sickness. This boy received 12 lashes about three weeks ago, and was flogged a short time before that; cried out loudly at the 1st lash; blood came at the 18th lash, and ran freely throughout the remaining part of the punishment. He must have felt much pain
