Barley Mow / Good Woman - Darlington In July 1831, the following advertisement appeared in the Sydney Gazette - 'Mr. John Johnston having opened the House at Patrick's Plains formerly occupied by Richard Yeoman, respectfully begs the support and encouragement of his Friends and the Public in that district, and trusts that, by a more liberal attention to the comforts of those who may favour him with their company, he will be enabled to revive the character originally held by the Barley Mow, but now offered for their accommodation under the auspices of the Good Woman. Darlington 17th July 1831.'(Richard Yeomans took over the Woolpack Inn in West Maitland after this date. He died in May 1833 and was buried in the Glebe cemetery)
